Welcome to the Cargo Bike Company

 

We  specialise in producing unique hand built bicycles for our customers. From our workshop in Derbyshire we specialise in the niche market of cargo bikes and family bicycles.

Please browse through our Products page which shows a small sample of the variety of cycles we are able to create. Since the production of our first bike in 1989, we have continually strived to improve both the form and function of our products.

Unlike other cargo bike manufacturers, every one of our cargo bikes are handmade, giving us complete design flexibility to incorporate most designs, features or styles into a bike. If you have a specific need for an unusual cargo bike that is not on this website then please contact us and we will be happy to consider designing and building it for you.

If you like our prices but have never ordered a custom built bike before, its a very simple process. Just let us know which model you are interested in, height of the rider, what you are intending to carry plus your favourite colour and we'll do the rest.

Current lead time (receipt of deposit to delivery) =  10 weeks

We only sell brand new bikes but occasionally we have second hand Bakfiet or used bakfiets for sale. These 2nd hand bakfiet or used bakfiets bikes will appear on our For Sale page. We do not produce cargo bike plans so that you can make your own cargo bike diy.
